A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted. When this happens the brain is deprived of oxygen and after a short period of time brain cells begin to die.
There are a number of ways you can help WASF. You can make a donation to help us continue our work within the community, or why not become a volunteer?
The WA Stroke Foundation Inc. (WASF) was founded to assist West Australians who have survived stroke and their carers.
28/03/08:
UWA is seeking individuals 18+ who have had a stroke to attend a two hour session. This session is for teaching purposes only to assist in training of medical students.
